Learning Environments Sites

“As the routine use of computers becomes all pervasive, there is an expectation that VLEs will form a significant part of the next generation’s experience of learning” offsted, Jan 2009

An online learning environment is actually any system such as a website that is designed to facilitate educators in the design of dynamic distance learning courses for their students, to supplement or in some case replace the face-to-face class sessions.

Virtual learning environments such as Moodle, a popular Open Source application, are actually highly modified content management systems which, in the social constructionist tradition, allows for activity modules to build richly collaborative communities of learners.

Media Knights understands the learning pedagogy that underpins learning environments and in particular the Moodle platform which is currently being used by the Open University by several million students.
